Technician - Maintenance Utility (Maintenance) - Day Shift

What You Will Do

The maintenance utility technician is responsible for the upkeep of the production facility.  The primary responsibility of this role is outside grounds maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems.  

How You Will Make an Impact

• Complete assigned tasks relating to facilities maintenance including but not limited to outside grounds maintenance and maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boiler, ammonia refrigeration, etc.)
• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in all areas of plan
• Hose fabrication, hose reel maintenance and running copper or S.S. pipe circuits using Prepress fittings
• Hose reel inspections, all Lighting in the plant, locker rooms and office area
• Engine room and rooftop valve stations rounds
• Boiler blowdowns and chemical checks
• Eyewash station work orders
• Dock equipment P/M’s
• Air Compressors and Dryer maintenance to include daily checks

What You Will Bring

• Minimum of two years working in an industrial manufacturing environment or related capacity
• Boiler room operator experience preferred
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
• Able to assist in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting/repairs of plant equipment
• Ability to safely use measuring equipment, hand tools, power tools and other related machines
• Ability to use ladders, forklifts and scissor lifts
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
