Make food that makes pets happy.

When we founded Freshpet, it was an opportunity to build something new. An innovative place to create the most real, fresh food for pets. A way to let employees own part of the company where they work. And a setting where each day is another chance to be inspired and do what’s best for Pets, People, and Planet. Are you ready to start fresh?

Who We Are

At Freshpet, our goal is to change the way people nourish their pets forever.  We strive to strengthen the bond between people and our pets so that we both live longer, healthier, and happier lives while being kind to the planet. We believe that if we can create fresh, real foods that pets love and help them live healthier lives, that their pet parents will also enjoy the many benefits of a rich life shared with a pet.  IT’S AMAZING WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU START COMPLETELY FRESH!

What You Will Do

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Category & Omni Insights to lead category, shopper, and omnichannel analytics across the business. This role owns category insights, enterprise reporting, and syndicated data (NielsenIQ) - and translates data into clear, actionable growth plans for our top strategic retail partners.

This role goes beyond reporting - bringing together category, customer, and shopper insights into a clear view of where we can grow and how to unlock it.

The role will also leverage AI and advanced analytics as a force multiplier to accelerate insight generation, improve decision-making, and scale impact across the organization.

What This Role Owns

  • Category analytics and syndicated data (NielsenIQ)
  • Enterprise reporting and single source of truth
  • Omni scorecard (store, digital, and shopper)
  • Retailer-specific category growth insight initiatives

How You Will Make an Impact

Category Analytics and Syndicated Data

  • Lead category performance analysis (share, ACV, TDPs, velocity, competitive trends)
  • Own relationship with NielsenIQ, including data access, tools, and governance
  • Translate category trends into opportunities for assortment, pricing, and shelf strategy execution

Enterprise Reporting (Single Source of Truth)

  • Build and streamline reporting across the organization
  • Deliver consistent, trusted views of performance (weekly, monthly, executive dashboards)
  • Create, maintain and publish custom product totals within syndicated database, allowing organization to view business in manner most relevant to the categories we compete in
  • Eliminate fragmented reporting and create one aligned narrative across teams
  • Leverage automation and AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and accessibility of reporting

Omni Scorecard (Store, Digital, and Shopper)

  • Integrate store, digital, and shopper metrics into one view
  • Identify gaps and opportunities, quantify size of prize, and prioritize actions
  • Use advanced analytics to surface patterns and opportunities
  • Lead a regular business cadence (e.g., quarterly reviews) using the omni scorecard to identify gaps, prioritize actions, and track progress across key retail partners

Retailer-Specific Category Insights

  • Develop customized category deep dives for top retail partners
  • Identify growth drivers, assortment, pricing, and shopper gaps
  • Translate insights into actionable growth plans
  • Build customer-ready stories and quantify impact

Retailer-Level Shopper Insights and Growth Levers

  • Analyze shopper behavior at the retailer level, including penetration vs category, repeat rates, and basket dynamics
  • Identify actions to improve retention, trade-up, and lifetime value within each retailer
  • Apply shopper insights to inform assortment, merchandising, and customer growth strategies
  • Partner with internal insights team to leverage brand-level shopper insights and translate them into retailer-specific action

Advanced Analytics and Forecasting

  • Support planning with forward-looking insights
  • Identify high-opportunity stores, SKUs, and segments
  • Develop tools and models to guide decisions

Executive Storytelling and Influence

  • Translate data into clear recommendations
  • Support customer and leadership presentations
  • Focus on 'so what / now what'

What You Will Bring

  • 7–10+ years in CPG analytics or category management
  • Deep experience with:
  • Category analytics (ACV, TDPs, velocity, share)
  • Syndicated data ownership (NielsenIQ, Discover, Circana Liquid Data, etc)
  • Proven ability to:
  • Own and simplify reporting across teams, creating a single, trusted source of truth
  • Translate data into clear, actionable growth plans (not just insights)
  • Quantify opportunities and “size of prize” to drive prioritization
  • Experience developing customer-facing category stories, including supporting and presenting in line reviews, JBPs, or similar settings
  • Ability to confidently represent analytics in customer discussions, including explaining, simplifying, and defending recommendations
  • Experience leveraging data, automation, or AI tools to improve speed and quality of analysis
